Jess is a character comic “gearing up to conquer” (Dawn French). Her WIP ‘Attention Seeker’ received ☆☆☆☆☆ at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe and was described as "a masterclass”. She hosts the sell-out night ‘Laugh Lines’ and Finalist for Sketch Off 2025. Her debut solo hour is directed by the award winning, Elf Lyons. This BAFTA Rocliffe shortlist writer has dedicated a decade of her life to working for a cinema whilst simultaneously training and performing improv and sketch comedy.
New show: 'for your consideration'
For Your Consideration is a cinematic solo character comedy sketch show, taking you back to a time when stories were made for the family, not for viral views. Inspired by old VHS tapes and handwritten plays, Jess creates a universe of characters that were only intended for her living room. Directed by the award-winning Elf Lyons, each vignette captures a different genre or director’s lens, paying tribute to her decade to working for a cinema. Growing up, the Carrivick household was a place where play and performance was not just expected but encouraged. Through a character-driven performance, Jess rediscovers the untold stories living in her dressing up box.

BBC One sitcom in 2004, she's desperately been trying to stay relevant. This 2021 BAFTA Rocliffe Shortlist writer is now seizing the spotlight with her absurd 45 minute showreel of sketches, and comedy. With nine costume changes and a variety of characters, she's guaranteed to grab your attention.
